Station Sales Week Of 1/14: Curtis Media Sells Remainder Of Greensboro/Winston-Salem Properties

After selling 600 WSJS Winston-Salem in December, Curtis Media sells the remainder of its Greensboro/Winston-Salem NC holdings to Chuck Marsh’s Triad Media Partners for $925,000. Triad will acquire 920 WPCM Burlington-Graham/104.5 W283BT Burlington and 1230 WMFR/104.5 W283CV High Point. Both stations currently simulcast WSJS. Through Alamance Media Partners, Marsh owns Country “Maverick” 1200 WSML Graham/94.3 W232DT Mebane/95.1 W236BO Burlington.

Zia Broadcasting Company sells its stations to Rick Lee Keefer and David Lansford’s Zia Radio Group for $200,000. Keefer serves as General Manager of the company that includes Country 99.1 KCLV-FM, AC 99.9 KTQM-FM, Sports 680 KWKA, and Conservative Talk 1240 KCLV Clovis NM and Classic Country 106.7 KQTY-FM Borger TX, while Lansford is Mayor of Clovis.

Tinker Creek Broadcasters sells Christian 1550 WKBA/93.1 W226CN Vinton/Roanoke VA to Brian Sizer’s Backroads Radio LLC for $100,000. Sizer is co-owner and President of Classic Country 98.1 WBRF Galax VA.

Former iHeartMedia Huntsville AL Market President John Malone’s Elk River Media will acquire Time Broadcasting’s Country 105.5 WYTM-FM Fayetteville TN for $375,000 and associated Elk River Broadcasting’s Classic Rock “98.5 The Elk” 1240 WEKR/98.5 W253CX Fayetteville for $55,000. A Time Brokerage Agreement for both stations took effect on August 19, 2021.

Grace Community Church of Amarillo trades 104.7 K284BH Amarillo TX to South Central Oklahoma Christian Broadcasting for 90.9 KGVB Holliday TX and associated Russell Ministries’ 95.3 K237EE Childress TX. K284BH already operates South Central’s Southern Gospel “The Gospel Network” programming from Grace’s 99.7 KBZD-HD4 Amarillo. KGVB and K237EE have already joined Grace Community Church’s Christian “Radio By Grace” network.

CSN International acquires Christian CHR “Radio U” 91.5 KQXI Granite Falls and 89.1 K206CJ Issaquah WA from Spirit Communications for $120,000.

After turning in the license of 1240 WFSX Fort Myers FL, Sun Broadcasting sells 94.1 W231DC Fort Myers to Fort Myers Broadcasting Company for $35,000.
