Susan Patrick, who operates the media brokerage Patrick Communications with her husband Larry Patrick and Gregory Guy, has pled guilty to hiding $10 million in revenue earned by her company and falsifying her own tax returns to omit $9.5 million in income.
The Patricks also own Legend Communications which operates over 20 stations in Wyoming under the names Big Horn Radio Network, Big Horn Mountain Radio, and Basin Radio Network
Marketwatch reports that Susan Patrick hired an accounting firm to prepare taxes for her and Patrick Communications from 2012 through 2015, but then never filed them with the IRS. When the IRS inquired, she claimed she had filed them and provided the IRS with doctored returns that omitted $10 million in revenue from between 2012 to 2014, and $9.5 million form her personal tax returns from the same time frame.
She will be sentenced in December to up to three years in prison and fines.
