While Audacy Hot AC “FM 100” WMC-FM Memphis will end its run on Monday, June 12 at 12:00pm, sister “Star 102.5” WTSS Buffalo has set its sign-off for Friday, June 9 at 10:00am.
WTSS morning host Rob Lucas will sign the station off. Lucas has been on the 102.5 frequency for the past 37 years through its “Rock 102“, “Q102” and “Star 102.5” identities mostly in mornings. The station will then simulcast sister CHR “Kiss 98.5” WKSE Niagara Falls until the $15.5 million sale of WTSS and 94.1 WLFP Memphis to Educational Media Foundation closes. WKSE/WTSS Brand Manager Sue O’Neil will move from 12-6pm on WTSS to an undisclosed timeslot on WKSE.
EMF has already applied to move the WBKV call letters and Christian AC “K-Love” network from its 89.9 Buffalo to 102.5 as of Friday, June 16. That station on will become WBWA as it will move over to the Worship “Air 1” network.
