Star Country 104.5 KSTY 1400 KRLN Canon CityRoyal Gorge Broadcasting will cease operation of “104.5 Star Country” KSTY Canon City/Pueblo and News/Talk 1400 KRLN Canon City CO at the end of the year.

In a Facebook post signed by the station staff they wrote, “It’s is with heavy hearts that I am announcing that the owners in Nebraska, of Star Country and KRLN have made the choice to close down our beloved radio stations beginning January 1st. The staff here at Star Country and KRLN are grateful for the years of dedication from all of our amazing clients who have made our local radio possible. To our listeners, we thank you for dedicating that radio dial to our stations for what seems like a lifetime. Star Country and KRLN are staples in this community, and it will forever be a part of each and every one of our lives. We cannot thank you enough, and we are sorry to be bringing this news. The staff has tried so hard for so long to make changes and keep things going and up to date with the times, knowing if we didn’t, this would happen. The changes in 2025 will definitely be just that, but with change comes new opportunities.”

The stations have been owned by Norton Warner and his children since 1965. The family previously owned stations across Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska.
