South and East of England shared shows announced for local BBC radio.

The BBC has started to officially release details of some shared programming coming to local radio in September, starting with the South and East of England.

Full plans of all local radio scheduled will take the BBC months to announce, on a region by region basis, but for now here’s what we know:

South

BBC Radio Berkshire, BBC Radio Oxford, BBC Radio Solent

Weekday afternoons 2-6pm

BBC Radio Berkshire and BBC Radio Oxford – Bridgette Tetteh

Weeknights from 7pm

Monday – Rena Anobil

Tuesday – Stephen Brown

Wednesday – Stephen Brown on BBC Radio Berkshire and BBC Radio Oxford. Richard Latto on Radio Solent

Thursday – Leo Ulph from 6pm

Thursday nights 8-10pm

BBC Music Introducing on BBC Radio Solent – Steph Nieuwenhuys (parental leave with Fern Buckley covering)

BBC Music Introducing on BBC Radio Berkshire and BBC Radio Oxford – Dave Gilyeat

Weekends

Saturday 6am-10am – On BBC Radio Solent, BBC Radio Berkshire, and BBC Radio Oxford – Katie Martin

Both Saturday and Sunday 10am- 2pm – On BBC Radio Solent, BBC Radio Berkshire, and BBC Radio Oxford – Alice Hopkins

Sunday 6am-10am – On BBC Radio Solent, BBC Radio Berkshire, and BBC Radio Oxford – Katie Tyler

Plans for the afternoon show for BBC Radio Solent, as well as Friday evenings across the region will follow.


East

On BBC Radio Suffolk Wayne Bavin moves from mid-mornings to breakfast (6-10am) and Sarah Lilley who currently presents weekend breakfast on the station will front the mid-morning programme (10am-2pm).

On BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Chris Mann moves from afternoons to the mid-morning programme (10am-2pm).

RadioToday previously revealed a new late show will go out from 10pm across all 39 stations hosted by Becky Want Sundays-Thursdays and Jo Good Fridays and Saturdays, starting Sunday 8 October.

But we’re still waiting for news of all the other networked shows to be announced, including Sunday afternoons.
