Sound Radio to launch on DAB in Liverpool as small-scale multiplex turns on

A new station called Sound Radio is launching in Liverpool on the new small-scale DAB service for the city.

Sound Radio Liverpool starts on Wednesday 1st November at 8am with breakfast presenter Mike Peters.

Programme Director, Dan Roach told RadioToday: “This has been a dream of mine for a while now. Two years of planning and hard work has gone in to give my home city back a 100% local radio station that gives scousers exactly what they want – more music and a station that loves the city as much as they do.

“We’ve had a global pandemic, we’ve got a cost of living crisis and we all know what’s going on around the world at the minute… I think people need a positive, upbeat local radio station in their lives again.”

You can see the full schedule for Sound Radio and stream Liverpool’s new station on their website.

Other stations on the new multiplex include Love 80s, Dune Radio, Panacea Soul and Zest Liverpool.
