SiriusXM is moving a number of their channels to new locations on Wednesday, November 3.
The biggest part of the move will be the further breakup of its “Decades” neighborhood that dated to both Sirius and XM’s launch in the early 2000s as “50s on 5” moves to channel 72 as “50s Gold” and “60s on 6” moves to channel 73 as “60s Gold“. SiriusXM will replace them on channels 5 and 6 with the move of Hot AC “The Pulse” and AAA “The Coffee House” respectively.
The full list of changes are:
- The Pulse (from 15 to 5)
- The Coffee House (from 14 to 6)
- 102.7 KIIS-FM (from 11 to 14)
- Siriusly Sinatra (from 71 to 70)
- 40s Junction (from 73 to 71)
- 50s On 5 (from 5 to 72 as 50s Gold)
- 60s On 6 (from 6 to 73 as 60s Gold)
- On Broadway (from 72 to 77)
- Kidz Bop (from 77 to 79)
SiriusXM Love will also move online only on 708.
INSTANT INSIGHT: Does Channel 11 get opened up for a 2010s channel? Shame to see the now-classic “50s on 5” and “60s on 6” branding and presentation get wiped out for a generic “Gold” name. Couldn’t they at least use channels 75 and 76 for those?
