SiriusXM Partners With Bill Gaither & Carrie Underwood For Christian Channels

SiriusXM is adding a pair of names to their suite of Christian channels.

Their existing Southern Gospel “enLighten” (Channel 65) has been renamed “Bill Gaither’s enLighten” featuring “uplifting, harmony-driven gospel music with stories, inspiration, and hope from iconic singer/songwriter Bill Gaither and more.”

The channel will feature “Bill Gaither’s Easter Singalong Special” airing on Easter weekend hosted by Bill and Gloria Gaither and Their Homecoming Friends. The show will include songs from the Gaither Vocal Band, The Martins, Lynda Randle, Guy Penrod, and the Statler Brothers.

SiriusXM also launched the app exclusive “Savior Sunday Daily by Carrie’s Country” as the third channel in their suite produced in partnership with Carrie Underwood joining “Carrie’s Country” (channel 60) and “Carr-dio by Carrie’s Country” (app only).

The channel is described as carrying Underwood’s versions of gospel standards from her album My Savior as well as “timeless spiritual country and new classics from artists like Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, and Nashville’s rising stars.” The channel is built around the program currently airing on Sundays on Carrie’s Country.
