Shawn Tempesta Bids Adieu To KMXB & WMJX

Shawn Tempesta has announced he will be departing as APD/afternoon host at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 94.1” KMXB Henderson/Las Vegas after his show today.

Tempesta is on his second stint at KMXB, previously serving as webmaster and weekend host in 2006 and 2007 before returning to the station as afternoon host in 2011 and rising to Assistant Program Director in 2016. All the while, he has co-hosted the daily television show “The Morning Blend” on Scripps’ KTNV Las Vegas since 2010 and added his daily streaming “Free 4 All” in 2019. Tempesta has also tracked middays at Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX Boston since September 2020, but will be exiting that role on Friday.

He has also worked at WLNH Laconia NH, WFHN New Bedford MA, “Mix 98.5” WBMX Boston and WNAC-TV Providence RI in his career, while also producing television commercials for radio stations and co-inventing “Better Bands” and nuts for RE20 microphones.
