Shaw Local Radio is purchasing NRG Media’s three stations in Dixon IL for $950,000.
Shaw will acquire Oldies 1460 WIXN/95.1 W236DM Dixon, AC “Sky 95.7” WSEY Oregon, and “River Country 101.7” WRCV Dixon with Kalil & Co. serving as broker of the deal.
Shaw Local Radio parent company Shaw Media, which owns 80 newspapers across northern Illinois and Iowa, entered radio ownership in 2023 with the purchase of Studstill Media’s stations in the LaSalle/Peru IL market for $1.8 million.
NRG Media continues to owns stations in Ottawa IL plus markets in Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
