After two and a half years co-hosting mornings at Townsquare Media Hot AC’s “94.3 The Point” WJLK-FM Asbury Park/1160 WJLK/104.1 W281CK Lakewood Township and “Sojo 104.9” WSJO Egg Harbor City/Atlantic City, Shannon Holly has departed as she prepares to change careers.
Holly shares, “I took a few days to process all of this. After 28 years in radio, almost three of which were with my buddy Lou Russo at 94.3 The Point, I finally said goodbye. I have a new calling that I will talk about soon, but for now I’m giving this journey the gratitude it deserves. Thank you to all my listeners over the years in PA, Florida, ATL, Minneapolis/St. Paul, NYC and New Jersey. ”
Holly joined Lou Russo in mornings at WJLK in February 2021 and the pair were added at WSJO that October. Holly co-hosted mornings at “B103.9” WXKB Fort Myers from 2000-2005, “Star 94” WSTR Atlanta 2005-2010, and “KS95” KSTP-FM Minneapolis from 2011-2016. She also hosted fill-ins and later middays at Audacy Hot AC “New 102.7” WNEW New York from 2016-19 and began her career in middays at “Beaver 103” WBHV State College PA.
WJLK has rebranded the morning show as “Lou Russo & Friends” with guest co-hosts for the time being.
