Joe Reilly’s Columbia FM is selling its Full Service Oldies “WHLM” network to Seven Mountains Media for $450,000.
The deal includes two AMs and four translators all running the same programming: 930 WHLM Bloomsburg, 1280 WBWX Berwick, 94.7 W234BH West Hazleton, 96.3 W242BY Berwick, 104.3 W282CO Bloomsburg, and 105.5 W288DF Danville. As part of the acquisition, Columbia FM owner Joe Reilly signed a five year non-compete agreement to own or manage a station within 60 miles.
The stations are considered part of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market which they serve the western portion of. Seven Mountains already owns Hot AC 93.5 WSBG and Country “Bigfoot 103.1” 840 WVPO/103.1 W276DG Stroudsburg covering portions of the market and Classic Country “Bigfoot Legends 107.7” WLGD Dallas and 590 WARM Scranton in the center of the market all of which count towards the local ownership cap. The company also owns Classic Hits “Hanna 92.3” WHNA Riverside/97.5 W248DK Bloomsburg and Country “Bigfoot Country” 106.5 WCFT-FM Bloomsburg counting towards the adjacent Sunbury/Selinsgrove market.
