Seven Mountains Media is acquiring Forever Communications’ four station cluster in Bowling Green KY for $1,125,000.
The one constant in both groups is Kerby Confer, who holds a 45% stake in Forever Communications and owns Seven Mountains Media along with his wife Judith and daughter Kristen Cantrell, who runs the company. Seven Mountains, which mostly owns stations in Pennsylvania, the Southern Tier of New York, and northwestern New Jersey, also owns a cluster in Frankfort KY under the name CapCity Communications.
The stations included in the deal are Classic Country “Big Willie” 94.1 WLYE-FM Glasgow, Country “Beaver 96.7” WBVR-FM Auburn, CHR “All Hit 107.1” WUHU Smiths Grove, and Oldies 1340 WBGN/94.5 W233CZ Bowling Green. The deal also includes the pre-existing LMA with Royse Radio’s 1490 WCLU/98.5 W253BN Glasgow and 102.3 WLLI Munfordville/103.1 W276DO Glasgow, which both simulcast WLYE-FM.
Forever Communications, owned by Confer, Donald Alt, and Christine Hilliard, will retain its four stations in Murray KY. The principals in that company also own Forever South Communications with stations in Jackson, Paris, and Union City TN.
