Audacy is adding another national weekend show to the lineups across its Country stations.
“US99” WUSN Chicago afternoon host Scotty Kay will be heard on Sundays from 10am-3pm local times starting March 12. Kay has been with WUSN since 2019 first as part of the morning show and then in afternoons. He began his career at iHeartMedia CHR “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC Chicago under the name ‘Special K’ and eventually rose to Music Director/night host before leaving in 2013. He would then co-host mornings at both iHeartMedia CHR “Power 96.1” WWPW Atlanta and Cumulus Media’s “Hot 93.3” KLIF-FM Dallas before returning to Chicago.
Kay joins Audacy’s national weekend Country programming that also includes the “Audacy Top 20 Country Countdown with Rob & Holly”, Sean ‘Coop’ Tabler’s “Rockin Country Saturday Night”, Heather Froglear’s “90’s Country with Heather”, and Josh ‘Bru’ Brubaker’s “Country Sunday Nights”.
Scotty Kay will now be heard Sundays from 10:00 – 3:00 p.m. local time across all Audacy country stations beginning this Sunday, March 12.
“What is life?!?!,” said Kay. “Being part of a team like this is a dream for anyone in radio. When you do something you love and then people say, ‘you should do it for more people,’ that’s pretty special! Thank you Tim Roberts, Marci Braun, and Audacy for trusting me with everyone’s favorite part of the week!”
Scotty Kay got his big break as one of twenty five male finalists on the first season of FOX’s hit television show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” Listeners who follow Scotty’s live events always get an exciting experience, as he’s been named one of the best live entertainers in the nation four times by DJ Times Magazine and hosts events worldwide, including the Ambassadors Ball for NATO in Brussels, Belgium. Born and raised in Chicago, Kay happily found his place at WKSC-FM (103.5 Kiss FM) Chicago where he made a real connection with his loyal listeners all over the country as a syndicated personality heard in over seven cities nationwide. His major market radio and live entertainment experience brought him to Power 96.1 in Atlanta and his syndicated markets, taking the show from 18th place to 1st in 20 months. After serving as the morning host on KLIF-FM, HOT 93.3 Dallas, Kay now hosts afternoons on Audacy’s US99 in Chicago.
