Shared programming arrives in the North East on BBC Local Radio on September 25th with Radio Tees’ afternoon show with Scott Makin extended to air on BBC Radio Newcastle.
There are no changes to the rest of the weekday daytime schedule, with both stations broadcasting locally from 6am till 2pm as usual.
On BBC Radio Newcastle Matt Bailey continues with Breakfast and Anna Foster continues on day times whilst on BBC Radio Tees Amy Oakden continues with Breakfast and Gary Philipson continues on day times.
In the evenings, BBC Tees Sport will continue from 6pm till 7pm whilst Total Sport continues on BBC Radio Newcastle from 6pm till 8pm.
Shared programmes commence after sport on both stations:
- Monday – Rachel Teate
- Tuesday – Jade Burns (will launch later this Autumn).
- Wednesday – Joel Mitchell (to launch later this Autumn)
- Thursday – Upload with Emma Millen 7-8pm (Tees only); 8-10pm BBC Music Introducing presented by Shakk (BBC Newcastle and BBC Radio Tees)
- Friday – Rachel Teate
Later on, both stations will take the all-England late show hosted by Becky Want Sunday to Thursday and Jo Good Friday/Saturday from October 8th.
Syndicated weekend shows include Gilly Hope Saturday 6am till 10am and Kelly Scott 10am till 2pm. Saturday nights will see Upload in the North East air from 6-8pm and BBC Music Introducing with Shakk in the North East from 8.
