Scott “Froggy’ Langley Rises To WQIK Program Director

99.1 WQIK JacksonvilleiHeartMedia Country 99.1 WQIK Jacksonville has announced the appointment of Scott ‘Froggy’ Langley as Program Director.

Langley, who hosts afternoons on WQIK, is also a longtime producer/cast-member of the Elvis Duran morning show. He previously spent a decade at WFLZ Tampa as part of the MJ & BJ and later MJ morning shows before a stint as morning show producer at “Y100” WHYI Miami and then joining the Elvis Duran show in 2006.

Langley succeeds Cindy Spicer in programming WQIK following Spicer’s departure from the company where she also programmed “US 103.5” WFUS Tampa last August.

iHeartMedia announced today that Scott “Froggy” Langley has been named Program Director for Jacksonville’s Country, 99.1 WQIK, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Jacksonville has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than seven stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As 99.1 WQIK Program Director, Froggy will oversee all aspects of programming, talent, digital platforms,promotions and marketing efforts for the station. He will report to Rick Everett, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Jacksonville.

“Froggy’s lifelong passion for country music and his relationships at 99.1 WQIK and in the community made this an easy decision,” said Metro President Paul Rogers. “He’s already played a big part in taking the station back to the top, and I’m confident that it will only continue under his leadership.”

Froggy has been part of the nationally syndicated program “Elvis Duran & The Morning Show” for 17 years and will continue in that role until further notice.
