After stunting for a day with sounds of people hiking, Townsquare Media has flipped Rock “Z-Rock 107.7” KDCZ St. Charles/Rochester MN to Classic Rock “Sasquatch 107.7“.
Matching the branding of Townsquare’s “Sasquatch 92.1” WWPE Duluth, the move shifts KDCZ’s music to a 1970s through early 90s playlist. It makes the station the third Classic Rocker in Rochester joining non-commercial 89.9 KRPR and iHeartMedia’s “Laser 101.7” KRCH.
KDCZ will continue to feature Compass Media Networks’ Free Beer and Hot Wings in mornings. Jen Austin, who is heard on most Townsquare Classic Rock stations in middays, will add KDCZ to her stable. WPDH-FM Poughkeepsie NY based Hopkins will host afternoons and Compass Media Networks’ Ultimate Classic Rock with Joe Benson will air in evenings.
KDCZ had a 0.7 share in the Spring 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings trailing KRCH’s 4.9 share. It also trailed a pair of Minneapolis based signals as Cumulus Media Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS and Rock “93X” KXXR each had a 1.4 share in Rochester.
