Opus Broadcasting has closed on its $105,000 acquisition of 97.7 KORJ Butte Falls/Medford OR and is currently stunting with Christmas music on the station.
Now operating under new KKWL call letters, the flip brings an end to the commercial-free mix of instrumental music branded as “97.7 The Breeze“ heard on the station. When the stunting completes, Opus will flip the station to Country “Wild 97.7“.
KKWL will become the third Country station in the Medford/Ashland market joining Bicoastal Media’s “Q100.3” KRWQ Gold Hill and Stephens Media Group’s “105.1 The Wolf” KAKT Phoenix.
