Saga Promotes Chris Forgy To President/CEO

Saga CommunicationsSaga Communications has announced the appointment of Chris Forgy as its new President/CEO following the death of Ed Christian in August.

Forgy has served as Senior Vice President of Operations for the company since 2018 after serving as President/General Manager of the company’s Columbus OH cluster from 2011 to 2018. He previously worked from the company as Director of Sales in Columbus from 1995 to 2006. In between his two stints at Saga, Forgy served as VP/GM of Radio One Cleveland.

With Forgy’s promotion to President/CEO, current Norfolk VA President/General Manager Wayne Leland will rise into his former SVP/Operations position starting in January. Leland has led the company’s Norfolk cluster since 2011 after previously holding General Manager positions for Capstar, Spring Broadcasting, and Citadel Broadcasting.

Also announced today is the promotion of Wayne Leland from President and General Manager of the Company’s radio stations in Norfolk, VA to Senior Vice President/Operations for Saga effective January 3, 2023.
