Sadie Black has announced her departure as Music Director of LM Communications Rock “98 Rock” WYBB Folly Beach and AAA “105.5 The Bridge” WCOO Kiawah Island/Charleston SC. She also hosted middays on WYBB.
Black shared on Instagram, “It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that I am leaving radio after 11 amazing years. Today will be my last midday shift. As I bid farewell to the airwaves, it’s with a heart full of gratitude and nostalgia. Over the past 11 years, radio has been my world, my passion, and my joy. But now, as the time comes to explore new horizons and embrace fresh opportunities, I step away with fond memories and endless appreciation. To the loyal listeners who’ve tuned in faithfully, you’ve been the heartbeat of my journey. Your support, your stories, and your energy have fueled every broadcast. Thank you to everyone in Columbia that listened, loved and supported me. You were the best, and I’m so glad I still keep in contact with many of you. To the vibrant community of Charleston, thank you for embracing me with open arms during my tenure on 98 Rock. Though this may be the end of one chapter, I’m excited to see what the future holds. Stay tuned, and until we meet again, keep rocking. Signing off with love and gratitude, Sadie Black.”
