Rutland and Stamford Sound is joining the local multiplex owned by Creativity Media Services Ltd.
The radio station has been online since it launched after the rebranding of Rutland Sound to Greatest Hits Radio in 2020.
The multiplex also now carries Embrace Radio and Massive Hits.
Paul Moore and Jim Byrne, the visionaries behind this initiative, shared their insights. “The addition of Rutland and Stamford Sound to our lineup is particularly exciting,” explained Paul Moore.
“It’s a testament to the strength of local broadcasting and the deep connection this station has with its audience. We believe that their inclusion will only enrich our multiplex and the diversity of content available to listeners.”
Jim Byrne emphasized the strategic nature of the expansion: “Digital broadcasting technology allows us to offer unparalleled sound quality and reliability, aspects that are increasingly demanded by today’s listeners.
“We’re not just filling airwaves; we’re enriching the local radio landscape and setting a new standard for broadcasting in smaller markets. We trust that listening to the superb sounds of Embrace Radio and Massive Hits is already a testament to this, with many listeners already commenting on the sound quality.”
Rob Persani, Station Manager, Rutland & Stamford Sound told RadioToday: “We’re excited for our listeners to try us on DAB, and to tell us how they get on.
“We know SSDAB is still a developing technology and we’re grateful to the team at Creativity Media Services for giving us the opportunity to reach our listeners this way, and to Ofcom for their support.
