Radio One Hip Hop “K97.5” WQOK Carrboro/Raleigh NC has introduced TeAsia ‘RoyalTea’ Royster as its new midday host.
RoyalTea joins WQOK from weekends at Radio One’s “102.5 The Block” 610 WFNZ/W273DA Charlotte. She has been with the company since November 2021 working as a promotions assistant and digital content writer before adding on-air duties last summer. She has also been on-air at East Carolina University’s 91.3 WZMB Greenville NC.
RoyalTea succeeds Alex ‘Ayeeedubb’ Wurst in the midday shift at WQOK. She had been in the daypart since August 2020 and also served as Music Director. No word yet on her status in the company.
