Ronnie Wood joins the fight to keep BBC Local Radio local

Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood has joined the campaign to keep BBC Local Radio local.

He’s been photographed backstage at a gig taking place tonight (Tuesday) at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The picture simply shows the artist and musician holding a white piece of paper saying “KEEP BBC LOCAL RADIO LOCAL”.

Ronnie says he’s a big fan of local radio, and a regular listener, and wants to help reverse the decision to cut local shows.

The photo was tweeted by Nicky Horne, who has been highlighting the fight on behalf of local radio presenters.

Ronnie is no stranger to radio, having won three Sony Radio Awards and worked on Absolute Radio and BBC Radio 2 in the UK.
