Ricky Wilson to host keynote session at the Student Radio Conference

Virgin Radio’s new Drivetime presenter, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, will give a keynote session at the upcoming National Student Radio Conference.

The event is taking place between 3 – 5th April at Exeter University.

The rockstar-turned-radio presenter will be chatting to students from across the country about his music, TV and radio career, and will be giving words of inspiration for those just starting out in the industry.

The Student Radio Conference takes place over three days, which includes keynote presentations, practical workshops, musical performances and an Awards evening.

The programme of sessions, entertainment and opportunities is aimed at developing student radio, station programming, show teams, and individuals.

SRA Network Officer, Hebe Lawson, says: “We are so excited to have Ricky join us at the SRA Conference 2023 – who better to inspire new radio enthusiasts to throw their heart and soul into student radio than the most impassioned newbie to the airwaves? It’s sure to be a riot!”
