Two long-running syndicated Sports shows may be on the verge of changing timeslots.
The New York Post reports that the Jim Rome Show will depart his longtime 12-3pm Eastern slot on Audacy’s Infinity Sports Network but will remain with distributor Westwood One for a daily 3-6pm show. Rome would be replaced on the 24/7 network by Rich Eisen’s daily show, which also currently runs in the 12-3pm timeslot and distributed by Westwood One.
Rome was the last remaining show from the CBS Sports Radio turned Infinity Sports network lineup from its launch in January 2013. He previously spent fifteen years as part of Premiere Network’s sports offerings in the 12-3pm timeslot.
Originally produced by DirecTV, Eisen began his daily show on Premiere’s Fox Sports Radio from 2014 until April 2020. Westwood One then took over the syndication with the program also streaming on the Audacy app and SiriusXM and in video form on the Roku Channel after a previous run on Peacock. Eisen has been the lead anchor for the NFL Network since it launch in 2003 following a seven year stint at ESPN.
Major announcement regarding the show tomorrow at 9 am PST/12 Noon EST. Be there as it’s coming right at the top.
