After losing its translator signal in November 2021, Audacy has brought the Hip Hop “Real” brand back to FM in Chattanooga as Partners Media Investments’ 97.7 W249BR Lookout Mountain has become “Real 97.7” rebroadcasting 100.7 WUSY-HD2.
The station continues to carry Compass Media Networks’ DeDe In The Morning. It will once again create a direct format competitor to Brewer Media’s “Power 94” WJTT Red Bank.
The “Real” brand launched on 96.1 W241AF/WUSY-HD2 in November 2016. It moved exclusively to the HD2 in November 2021 when Oldies 1070 WFLI took over operations of W241AF in turn replacing W249BR as its primary FM signal.
