After thirteen months in afternoons, Ramie Makhlouf has departed Bonneville’s “Sactown Sports 1140” KHTK Sacramento to return home to Milwaukee.
Barrett Sports Media reports that Makhlouf told listeners on Wednesday, “This will be my final show on Sactown Sports here in the city of Sacramento. I’ll be following my buddy Nick Cattles out the door and headed back east, not as far east as he’s going. I’m headed back to Milwaukee, and I’ll just say that this has very little, if anything, to do with the job, the station, the city of Sacramento, nothing to do with the people I work with on a day-to-day basis.”
Makhlouf joined KHTK in June 2022 from his second stint at Audacy’s “1250 The Fan” WSSP Milwaukee. He hosted afternoons at WSSP from 2020 to 2022 after a previous thirteen year run at the station as a producer and then host from 2005 to 2018. In between, he co-hosted afternoons at Hubbard’s “Skor North” 1500 KSTP Minneapolis.
As Makhlouf mentioned, his departure follows his co-host Nick Cattles departing KHTK at the end of June to return back to the east coast for family reasons.
