Radio X’s Chris Moyles confirmed as a contestant on I’m a Celebrity

After turning down the show for many years, Chris Moyles has finally been confirmed as a contestant on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Ten celebs have been announced for the ITV show which starts on Sunday 6th November at 9pm hosted by Ant and Dec back in Australia.

Chris joins a long list of radio presenters to take part in the show, including the original King of the Jungle Tony Blackburn who won the first series.

Two years ago viewers watched three radio hosts – Vernon Kay, Victoria Derbyshire and Jordan North – as the series moved to Wales due to coronavirus restrictions. In 2021 Radio 1Xtra DJ Snoochie Shy took part and was the third celebrity to be voted out of the camp.

Other radio presenters on the show over the years include Roman Kemp, Kate Garraway, Adele Roberts and Ian Wright, Lisa Snowdon, Danny Baker, Tony Blackburn, Scarlett Moffat, Fleur East, Noel Edmonds, Iain Lee, Mike Read, Lisa Snowdon and Toby Anstis.

In 2011 Pat Sharp took part as a late entree along with Sinitta and came out in 10th place. He had these tips for Moyles: “Chris, enjoy every moment as you’re in a very elite club of lucky people who have been privileged to do the jungle.

“Make sure you get involved because otherwise, you won’t make the edits. It’s a real-life soap, so be the star of the storyline whenever you can.

“Oh yes, don’t breathe anywhere near the dunny! Good luck pal.”
