Radio Remembers Leighton Peck

Leighton Peck 94.5 KSTP-FM KS95 MinneapolisLongtime Hubbard Minneapolis Operations Manager and Hot AC “KS 95” KSTP-FM Program Director Leighton Peck passed away at the age of 65 on January 30.

Peck began his career in St. Could MN in 1981 and would then spend time at KLSS Mason City IA, KFAB and KGOR Omaha and as Operations Manager at KRGI Grand Island NE before arriving in Minneapolis in 1988 to host overnights at 101.3 KDWB. He would join KSTP-FM in 1991 as a part-time host and would rise through the ranks on-air to nights and middays adding Music Director duties until being promoted to Operations Manager of the station and sister 1500 KSTP in 1999 and PD of KSTP-FM in 2001 where he would remain until retiring in May 2020.

Peck is survived by his wife Melinda, children Elliot and Neena, and brother Sheldon. A celebration of life will be held as an informal gathering from 2-4 PM on Saturday, February 22nd at Roberts Family Funeral Home, in Forest Lake MN.
