A more radio-friendly version of the RØDECaster Pro mixing desk has been released by RØDE and is now available for pre-order.
The mixer is very popular with podcasters thanks to its onboard processing, clean interface, hotkeys/smartpads and four mic and headphone sockets.
The new version, the RØDECaster Pro II, addresses one of the main suggestions by non-podcasters for it to fit better into a radio environment.
The mixer’s four microphone inputs can now be used for line-level devices, in addition to two USB-C slots for computers, plus Bluetooth for phone calls. It has six physical faders and three virtual inputs for swapping channels around depending on pre-configured ‘shows’.
The inputs come with Preamps specifically designed for the new device, and the speaker
Studio quality processing is on board as standard including the APHEX Big Bottom and Aural Exciter along with built-in effects such as pitch, delay, reverb, robot, megaphone and more.
The RØDECaster Pro mixing desk has wifi and ethernet connectivity and comes with a Smartphone app for configuration.
