Radio 95.1 Rochester Revamps Schedule As Brother Wease Moves Out Of Morning Drive

iHeartMedia Hot Talk “Radio 95.1” WAIO Honeoye Falls/Rochester NY is making major changes to its weekday lineup starting Monday, September 18.

The changes are centered around the move of Alan ‘Brother Wease’ Levin from his longtime morning slot in the market to a new 9am-12pm timeslot. The 76 year-old Levin has hosted mornings in Rochester since the mid 80’s first at 96.5 WCMF and at WAIO since 2008. On his new 9am-12pm show, he will be joined by his wife Doreen, John DiTullio, and ‘Dale Buda’ Budziszewski. DiTullio and Budziszewski currently host 11am-2pm on the station.

The syndicated Rover’s Morning Glory will move into mornings from 6-9am. Rover has been heard on delay at night and then afternoons since December 2020 after being dropped by Alternative “94.1 The Zone” WZNE after a fourteen year run in mornings.

Country 100.5” WDVI afternoon host Jeremy Newman and News/Talk 1180 WHAM morning host Bob Lonsberry will team for a new 12-2pm show. John DiTullio will return for a 2-6pm show alongside current morning co-host Deanna King. The “Real Radio 104.1” WTKS-FM Orlando based “The News Junkie” will be added in nights. WAIO will remove its late morning and evening Rock blocks with the revamp.

Brother Wease told the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, ““I’ve been getting up at 4:30 in the morning for work for 38 years,” adding that he feels “very badly that people who have woken up with me for many, many years. But at the same time, I have many friends and acquaintances that used to listen to my show after 9 a.m., because I used to go to 11. So, I feel bad for the morning people, but at least I didn’t retire.”
