Times-Shamrock 90s based Hot AC “Q92.1” WQFM Nanticoke/Wilkes-Barre PA has begun simulcasting on 100.1 WEJL-FM Forest City PA improving the brand’s coverage in Scranton and the northern portions of the market.
WEJL-FM has been part of the network of signals operating as Sports “Northeast PA’s ESPN Radio” along with 630 WEJL Scranton, 96.1 W241BB Wilkes-Barre, 100.5 W263AL Scranton and 106.9 W295CV Hazleton. 100.1 has switched call letters to WQFN with the change.
92.1 WQFM and 100.1 WQFN previously simulcasted from the sign-on of the 100.1 allocation in 2000 until 2010. WQFM had flipped from Alternative to Hot AC in December 2020 after a Christmas music stunt. The station registered a 1.4 share in the October 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings. It is also heard on 102.7 W274AO Scranton and 96.1 W241AZ Clarks Summit via 106.9 WEZX-HD2 to fill in coverage holes on the Scranton side of the market.
