Another iHeartMedia CHR morning show is entering daily syndication as Premiere Networks will begin offering “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC Chicago’s “The Fred Show” to stations immediately.
Hosted by Chris ‘Fred’ Frederick, the show also features Kaelin, Rufio, Paulina, Showbiz Shelly, Jason Brown and Keke. Formerly known as ‘Brotha Fred’, Frederick joined WKSC at the start of 2011 after previously hosting mornings for the company’s “96.1 The Beat” WIBT Charlotte (where he pulled double duty hosting “Fox News Edge” for WCCB-TV in Charlotte) and afternoons at “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI Austin.
“The Fred Show” joins Elvis Duran, Brooke & Jeffrey, and Johnjay & Rich in Premiere’s Top 40 morning offerings.
Premiere Networks announced today the addition of “The Fred Show” to its nationally-syndicated radio lineup. Effective immediately, the popular long-running iHeartMedia Chicago radio show will be available to CHR stations as a five-hour morning show.
Originating from 103.5 KISS FM (WKSC-FM) – Chicago’s #1 hit music station, “The Fred Show” will continue to feature host Fred and his unique cast of characters, including Kaelin, Rufio, Paulina, Showbiz Shelly, Jason Brown and Keke, as they bring their energetic brand of entertainment, fun and laughs to listeners every day. The program will remain in the 5 – 10 a.m. CT weekday timeslot on 103.5 KISS FM.
“I’m incredibly grateful to introduce our show to cities across the country!” said Fred. “We have built a community in Chicago and are excited to welcome the entire nation to our family. Thanks to Julie Talbott and Jennifer Leimgruber at Premiere for their belief in us, in addition to my amazing leaders at iHeart, including Bob Pittman, Tom Poleman, Brad Hardin, Thea Mitchem, Dennis Clark and James Howard. Let’s go!”
“Fred and his team are a talented group,” said Julie Talbott, President of Premiere Networks. “They have the ‘it factor’ we’re always looking for. Not only are they passionate, hardworking, and incredibly funny, but they also have multiplatform appeal and produce valuable results for their partners. We couldn’t be more excited to offer a program of this caliber to audiences across the country.”
