Power 106 Moves Nick Cannon To Middays

Meruelo Media Rhythmic CHR “Power 106” KPWR Los Angeles has moved morning host Nick Cannon to middays from 10am-12pm.

The remainder of the morning show remains in place with Teddy Mora, Melissa Rios and DJ Carisma now anchoring “Power Mornings”. The trio had joined Cannon in mornings at its launch in June 2019 with Mora rising from weekends at the station, Rios jumping from mornings at SBS Spanish CHR “Mega 96.3” KXOL, and DJ Carisma previously serving as “Real 92.3” KRRL Music Director. The trio held down the morning slot sans Cannon during his seven month hiatus following his anti-Semitic comments in July 2020 until returning to the station in February.

Cannon will continue his daily Skyview Networks syndicated show and weekend countdown show, which is also heard on KPWR.

With the move of Cannon to the 10am-12pm slot, Bryhana’s airshift is truncated to 12-3pm. DJ Felli Fel and mixer DJ Ever remain in afternoons and Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk in evenings.
