Ofcom held a ‘meet and greet’ event at its Cardiff office recently as part of a series of visits happening across the UK.
Ofcom invited licensees based in or near Wales who were given an opportunity to meet members of the Broadcast Licensing and Programme Operations team at Ofcom’s Cardiff Office.
There was also a roundtable discussion with the chance for stations to share key issues affecting their service at the moment.
Moderating the meeting was Paul Mercer – Director, Broadcast Licensing and Programme Operations – who was particularly interested in understanding the affect that the current cost of living crisis was having on broadcasters.
Amongst those attending the meeting were community radio stations GTFM, Bro Radio and Radio Cardiff as well Nation Radio. Recently launched small scale DAB multiplex operator Cardiff DAB was also there.
