iHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW New York’s lead drops from an 8.3 to 7.0 share. MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS is down 6.5 to 6.1. SBS Spanish Tropical “Mega 97.9” WSKQ-FM rises 4.7 to 5.0 to tie Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM (steady at 5.0) for third. iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ rises 3.9 to 4.4 to place fifth.
SBS Spanish AC “93.1 Amor” WPAT-FM drops 4.3 to 3.4. Trending up is Red Apple Media Conservative Talk 770 WABC (1.9 – 2.2 – 2.4), trending down is Audacy News 880 WCBS (2.7 – 2.4 – 2.1).
In its final full monthly, Audacy’s “New York’s Country 94.7” WNSH rises 1.9 to 2.1. Alternative “Alt 92.3” WNYL dips 2.0 to 1.7.
iHeartMedia AC 103.5 KOST surges up 5.5 to 6.3 to take sole possession of the Los Angeles market lead. Audacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH rises 5.3 to 5.5. iHeartMedia Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG places third 4.5 to 4.6. Univision Spanish AC “107.5 K-Love” KLVE dips 4.5 to 4.3. iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM is up slightly 3.8 to 3.9 for fifth.
Audacy Rhythmic AC “94.7 The Wave” (4.6 to 3.7) and Variety Hits “93.1 Jack-FM” KCBS-FM (4.2 to 3.6) make noticeable declines as do iHeartMedia News/Talk 640 KFI (4.1- 3.8 – 3.2) and Public News/Talk 89.3 KPCC (3.0 to 2.0). Entravision Spanish Adult Hits “Jose 97.5/107.1” KLYY/KSSC/KSSD/KSSE jumps up 2.7 to 3.3 for what ratings expert Chris Huff notes is a record high for those frequencies.
Audacy News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS retains the Chicago market lead up 6.6 to 6.7. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V103” WVAZ drops 6.3 to 5.8. Public News/Talk 91.5 WBEZ rises to third up 4.3 to 4.9. iHeartMedia AC “93.9 Lite-FM” dips 4.8 to 4.6, while Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 105.1” WOJO is up 4.2 to 4.5.
Audacy AAA 93.1 WXRT trends up 3.1 – 3.6 – 4.0. Hubbard Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX falls 4.1 to 3.5 as Eric Ferguson was off the air prior to his exit.
Public News/Talk 88.5 KQED-FM remains on top of San Francisco down 7.9 to 7.2. Cumulus Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM dips 7.0 to 6.9. Audacy News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC falls 6.5 to 6.0. iHeartMedia Soft AC “98.1 The Breeze” KISQ holds steady at a 4.7 for fourth. iHeartMedia Hip Hop 106.1 KMEL trends up 2.8 – 3.2 – 3.6 for what Huff notes is its highest share in a year to tie Bonneville AC 96.5 KOIT (3.8 – 3.6).
In its final monthly before its flip from Alternative “Alt 105.3” to Variety Hits “105.3 Dave-FM“, Audacy’s KITS dips 1.4 to 1.3.
iHeartMedia CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS is up 4.6 to 5.4 as it begins to separate itself from the rest of the market. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 94.1” KLNO rises 4.4 to 5.0 for second. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Lonestar 92.5” KZPS is up 4.1 to 4.7. Audacy Classic Hits 98.7 KLUV rises 4.3 to 4.5. Cumulus Sports “The Ticket” 1310 KTCK/96.7 KTCK-FM rises 3.6 to 4.0 to tie iHeartMedia Hot AC “Now 102.9” KDMX as it dips 4.2 to 4.0.
Both Country outlets in Dallas are on the downswing. Cumulus’ “New Country 96.3” KSCS trends down 4.4 – 4.1 – 3.9, while “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX falls 4.1 – 3.6 – 3.1. Service Broadcasting Adult R&B 105.7 KRNB is up 2.6 – 2.9 – 3.3, while sister Hip Hop “K104” KKDA-FM drops 3.5 to 3.1.
iHeartMedia AC “Sunny 99.1” KODA continues to lead Houston down 6.6 to 6.5. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 102.9” KLTN rises 5.6 to 6.2 for second. Audacy Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH rises 5.5 to 5.8 to move up to third, while Hope Media Group Christian AC 89.3 KSBJ slips to fourth down 5.8 to 5.7. Cox Classic Rock “107.5/106.9 The Eagle” KGLK/KHPT holds steady at a 5.2.
Cox Media Group’s lead in Atlanta includes the top four stations with News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB moving 9.7 to 9.6. Classic Rock “97.1 The River” WSRV rises 7.1 to 7.3. Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR-FM falls 6.8 to 5.7, while AC “B98.5” WSB-FM rises 4.9 to 5.2. Salem Christian AC “104.7 The Fish” WFSH places fifth up 4.8 to 5.0.
Audacy Hip Hop/R&B “V103” continues to freefall downwards. Since June WVEE has dropped from fourth at a 5.7 share to 5.1, 4.4, 3.8, and this month to a 3.3 for what Huff notes is its lowest share since Spring 1977.
Both Atlanta CHR’s trade spaces again. Cumulus’ “Q99.7” WWWQ bounces back 4.9 – 4.1 – 4.9, while iHearMedia’s “Power 96.1” WWPW moves 4.1 – 5.1 – 3.9. Radio One Gospel “Praise 102.5” WPZE surges up 2.9 to 4.2.
iHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM expands its Philadelphia market lead up 8.3 to 8.7. Beasley’s duo of Rock 93.3 WMMR (7.1 to 7.3) and Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK (6.1 to 6.3) follow. Public News/Talk 90.9 WHYY-FM is fourth up 5.1 to 5.6. Audacy Sports 94.1 WIP places fifth up 4.8 to 5.5.
Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM New York retains its Long Island lead with a 5.4 to 6.3 jump. Cox CHR 106.1 WBLI holds in second 4.9 to 5.3 and sister Classic Rock 102.3 WBAB/95.3 WHFM rises to third 4.2 to 5.0. Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM rises 4.4 to 4.9 and iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ is fifth 4.3 to 4.8.
WNSH goes out in Long Island up 1.0 to 1.4.
Anaheim Broadcasting Classic Hits 99.9 KOLA retains its dominance of Riverside/San Bernardino with an 8.7 to 8.6 dip. Christian AC 89.7 KSGN rises to second up 4.6 to 5.2. While setting record highs in Los Angeles, Entravision’s “Jose 97.5” KLYY falls 7.5 – 6.2 – 4.8 in Riverside.
Public News/Talk 88.5 KQED also leads San Jose with a 7.8 to 7.9 rise. Audacy News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC ties for second 5.5 to 5.7 with Classical 90.3 KDFC/104.9 KXSC (4.7 to 5.7). Bonneville Classic Rock “98.5 KFOX” KUFX rises 3.6 to 4.4, while Alpha Media Hot AC “Mix 106.5” KEZR rises 3.8 to 4.3.
“Alt 105.3” KITS goes out in San Jose down 1.8 to 1.6.
SBS Spanish Tropical “Mega 97.9” WSKQ New York leads Middlesex/Somerset/Union NJ with a 6.9 to 7.4 gain. iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ is second 5.8 to 6.3. Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM rises 5.4 to 5.9 to tie MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS as it drops 6.5 to 5.9. iHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW surges up 3.4 to 5.8.
In its final monthly, “New York’s Country 94.7” WNSH jumps up 4.4 to 5.0 for what Huff notes is the largest Country share recorded in the Middlesex/Somerset/Union market. Press Communications’ “Thunder 106” WKMK added an additional 1.1 share for the format.
