Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.
Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Miami, Seattle, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Public News/Talk 88.5 WAMU retains its Washington DC lead with an 8.7 to 8.9 gain. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR surges up 6.6 to 8.8 for second. Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP dips 8.3 to 7.7. iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH rises 6.5 to 7.2. Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3” WMMJ falls 8.5 to 6.2.
iHeartMedia CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT jumps up 4.1 to 4.9, while Atlantic Gateway Christian AC 91.9 WGTS trends up 2.8 – 4.0 – 4.3. iHeartMedia Alternative “DC 101” WWDC trends down 5.4 – 4.7 – 4.4.
For the third straight month, Beasley’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM Boston shatters its station record set the previous month. WBZ-FM has risen 5.8 – 7.4 – 8.0 – 8.7 since the start of the NFL season. iHeartMedia News/Talk 1030 WBZ rises 6.2 to 7.4 to move up to second. Beasley Classic Hits 105.7 WROR slips 7.4 to 7.1. iHeartMedia Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX dips 5.8 to 5.7, while sister CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM falls to fifth down 5.9 to 5.5.
Audacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX surges up 2.2 – 3.8 – 4.4 for what ratings expert Chris Huff notes is its largest share since May 2015. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 680 WRKO rises 3.9 – 4.1 – 4.9. Audacy Sports 93.7 WEEI-FM dips 3.9 to 3.4, while Northeast Broadcasting AAA “92.5 The River” WXRV trends down 2.7 – 2.4 – 1.9.
Cox Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT rises 8.4 to 9.3 to claim the Miami market lead from sister Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ, which drops 8.5 to 8.0. Audacy AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF is up 5.7 to 5.8. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR rises 5.1 to 5.2, while SBS Spanish Adult Hits “Zeta 92.3” WCMQ-FM slides 5.5 to 5.1.
In its first full monthly after relaunching as Rhythmic AC, Cox Media Group’s “Hits 97.3” WFLC rises 3.1 to 3.1. Also moving up in Miami is iHeartMedia’s Spanish CHR “Tú 94.9” WZTU 3.3 – 4.1 – 4.3. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “103.5 The Beat” WMIB slips 3.3 to 2.6, while Audacy Rhythmic CHR “Power 96” WPOW-FM dips 2.3 – 2.1 – 1.9.
Bonneville News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM remains on top of Seattle while trending down 7.1 – 6.8 – 6.5. iHeartMedia Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK dips 6.3 to 6.0. Public News/Talk 94.9 KUOW-FM rises 5.5 to 5.8. Crista Ministries Christian AC “Spirit 105.3” KCMS-FM surges up 3.7 – 4.5 – 5.2. Hubbard AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM rises 4.6 to 5.0.
AAA 90.3 KEXP rebounds 2.4 to 3.4. Classical 98.1 KING-FM jumps up 1.9 to 2.7. Thanks to the release of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, iHeartMedia Sports 950 KJR is up 1.7 to 2.1. Dance “C89.5” KNHC trends up 0.6 – 1.0 – 1.4, which Huff notes ties its station record high last set in May 2013. Audacy Country “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF falls 3.5 to 2.6.
Audacy Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC rises 6.8 to 7.2 to claim the Detroit market lead this month. iHeartMedia AC 100.3 WNIC rises to second 5.9 to 7.0. Beasley Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX drops 6.9 to 6.1. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD falls 6.9 to 5.8, which ties them with Audacy Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM down 5.9 to 5.8.
Beasley Rock 101.1 WRIF trends up 4.5 – 5.1 – 5.5, while co-owned Adult R&B “105.9 Kiss-FM” WDMK jumps up 3.2 to 4.7. Cumulus Hot AC 96.3 WDVD trends down 5.0 – 4.6 – 4.0.
iHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ remains on top of Phoenix up 6.6 to 6.7. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX trends up 4.5 – 5.1 – 5.5. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 550 KFYI is up 4.7 to 5.1. Public News/Talk 91.5 KJZZ explodes up 3.3 to 4.6 for what Huff notes is a record high form the station. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain” KYOT trends down 6.1 – 5.3 – 4.6.
Desert Valley Media’s “94.9/95.1 The Wow Factor” surges up 2.6 – 3.1 – 3.9 to set a record for the facility. Also trending up are iHeartMedia Hot AC “Mix 96.9” KMXP (3.8 – 4.4 – 4.5) and Hubbard Alternative “93.3 Alt AZ” KDKB (1.8 – 2.2 – 2.6). Trending downward are iHeartMedia Country 102.5 KNIX (4.9 – 4.4 – 4.0) and Hubbard Rock 98 KUPD (5.5 – 4.7 – 3.8).
Public News/Talk 91.1 KNOW-FM takes the lead in Minneapolis with a 7.3 to 8.0 gain. Hubbard Hot AC “KS 95” KSTP-FM rises dips 8.2 to 7.9. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “Kool 108” KQQL slips 7.8 to 6.7, while sister Sports “100.3 KFAN” KFXN-FM drops 7.0 to 6.6. Northwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM surges up to fifth 4.8 to 6.5.
AAA “89.3 The Current” KCMP drops 4.4 to 3.2. Country stations move in opposite directions as iHeartMedia’s “K102” KEEY slips 6.0 – 5.5 – 5.0 and Audacy’s “102.9 The Wolf” rises 1.6 to 2.4.
Audacy Classic Hits “98.1 Sunny-FM” KXSN trends up 5.7 – 6.2 – 6.7 to regain the San Diego lead. LM San Diego Rhythmic AC “Magic 92.5” XHRM rebounds 5.9 to 6.1. Audacy Country 103.7 KSON trends up 4.4 – 5.3 – 5.8. iHeartMedia’s “Rock 105.3” KIOZ holds at a 5.1 share, while News/Talk 600 KOGO is up 4.9 to 5.0.

iHeartMedia’s “98 Rock” WXTB surges up 3.2 – 4.1 – 4.8, while Beasley Classic Rock “98.7 The Shark” WPBB trends up 1.8 – 2.1 – 2.8. iHeartMedia Country “US 103.5” WFUS rises 3.8 to 4.7.
Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO remains on top of Denver 6.1 to 6.2. KSE Media’s duo of Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL (4.7 to 5.6) and Hot AC “Mix 100” KIMN (4.8 to 5.5) show significant gains. Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI falls to fourth down 6.1 to 5.2. A pair of Classic Rockers tie for fifth with iHeartMedia’s “103.5 The Fox” KRFX falling 5.2 to 4.8, while Audacy’s “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT rises 4.4 to 4.8.
iHeartMedia Country “106.7 The Bull” KWBL trends down 3.3 – 2.5 – 2.0.
Radio One Adult R&B “Magic 95.9” WWIN-FM remains on top in Baltimore up 8.8 to 8.5. iHeartMedia Country 93.1 WPOC rises 6.7 to 7.1. Audacy AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF rises 6.4 to 6.5, while sister Sports “105.7 The Fan” WJZ-FM is up 5.0 to 5.4. Hearst’s “98 Rock” WIYY falls 5.1 to 4.8.
Peter & John Radio Fellowship Christian AC “95.1 Shine-FM” WRBS-FM surges up 3.0 – 3.5 – 4.3. Public News/Talk 88.5 WAMU-FM Washington jumps up in Baltimore 1.0 to 2.5. Trending down are Radio One Hip Hop “92Q” WERQ 4.4 to 3.5 and Hearst News/Talk 1090/101.5 WBAL (3.7 – 3.4 – 2.9).
Hubbard Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE retains its spot atop St. Louis with a 9.6 to 9.2 drop. Gateway Creative Broadcasting Christian AC “99.1 Joy-FM” KLJY jumps up 7.7 to 8.5. Hubbard’s “105.7 The Point” remains Alternative’s great hope with a 6.7 to 7.7 rise, while sister Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” dips to fourth 7.2 to 7.1. Audacy Adult R&B “96.3 The Lou” WFUN-FM is up 6.8 to 6.9.
Hubbard Sports “101 ESPN” WXOS surges up 3.8 – 5.3 – 6.3 thanks to the start of the NHL season. iHeartMedia Country “93.7 The Bull” KSD-FM rises 3.8 – 4.2 – 4.5. Audacy News/Talk 1120/98.7 KMOX falls 5.8 to 3.8 which Huff notes is its second lowest share ever. Public News/Talk 90.7 KWMU falls 4.2 – 2.6 – 2.3. iHeartMedia’s recently launched Conservative Talk “104.9 The Patriot” KTLK-FM trends up 0.5 – 0.9 – 1.1.
