Northwestern Media Expands Across Missouri With Spirit-FM Purchase

Spirit-FM Lake Area Educational Broadcasting Foundation Northwestern Media LifeTwin Cities based University of Northwestern – St. Paul’s Northwestern Media is acquiring Lake Area Educational Broadcasting Foundation for $1.25 million.

The acquisition will add LAEBF’s fifteen FMs, eight translators and six construction permits to Northwestern’s current 81 signals across eleven states. Based at 91.7 KCVO-FM Camdenton MO, the group currently programs the Christian AC “Spirit-FM” network on sixteen of their signals and Contemporary Worship “Elevate-FM” on seven.

The stations involved in the deal are: 89.9 KCVY Cabool, 91.7 KCVO-FM Camdenton, 90.3 KCKE Chillicothe, 91.9 KCKF Cuba, 92.1 KCVZ Dixon, 103.5 KCKZ Huntsville, 91.9 KCKV Kirksville, 90.7 KVSR Kirksville, 89.7 KCVQ Knob Noster, 100.9 KCKP Laurie, 95.9 KCKH Mansfield, 100.3 KCVJ Osceola, 107.7 KCVK Otterville, 91.1 KSJI St. Joseph, 91.7 KCVX Salem and translators 106.5 K293AX Jefferson City, 104.1 K281AT Lebanon, 98.7 K254BU Marshall, 102.7 K274CD Rolla, 89.3 K207AY St. Robert, 90.1 K211FV Sedalia, and 89.5 K208BO Warsaw. Also included are construction permits for 88.3 KBMA Albany, 91.3 KCVA College Springs, 89.1 KCKI Marshall, 89.1 KCKQ Ravenwood, 89.3 KCKU Rosebud, and 89.5 KCKG Richland.
