Noalmark Broadcasting has announced the appointment of JJ Cook as Operations Manager for their stations in El Dorado and Magnolia AR.
Cook will oversee Noalmark’s ten Arkansas stations: Classic Rock “93.3 The Eagle” KAGL, Classic Hits “Big 96.1” KMRX El Dorado, Adult R&B 98.7 KMLK El Dorado, “Magnolia Country 99.1” KVMZ Waldo/Magnolia, Classic Country “101.5 The Hog” KLBQ Junction City/1290 KDMS El Dorado, Country “Kix 103.3” KIXB El Dorado, CHR “Max 106.5” KELD-FM Hampton, Classic Hits 630 KVMA/107.1 K296FC Magnolia, and News/Talk 1400 KELD/94.3 K232FT/107.1 K296FY El Dorado.
Cook most recently served as SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia Cedar Rapids from 2003 until exiting in the company’s layoffs last fall. He has also held corporate programming roles with Clear Channel and Heritage Broadcasting, served as a consultant for Broadcast Programming, and programmed in Lincoln NE and Syracuse.
In addition to those clusters in Arkansas, Noalmark owns stations in Hobbs and Roswell NM.
Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation announced today the appointment of a new Operations Manager for their South Arkansas Operations in El Dorado and Magnolia.
JJ Cook will assume responsibilities as Operations Manager on August 1st at Noalmark’s main studio location at 2525 Northwest Ave. in El Dorado.
Mr. Cook comes to Noalmark from iHeart Media in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he was Senior VP of programming for the past 18 years and oversaw the programming of 84 stations in 18 markets during part of his tenure. Additionally, he has worked for a number of different broadcasting organizations in various parts of the country over his 30+ year career in the broadcasting industry.
Mr. Cook studied Communications and Marketing at the University of North Dakota and Cal State Sonoma. Mr. Cook and his family are active community leaders and support numerous non-profit and municipal organizations wherever they are located.
