Nik Carter Goes Off The Record For Compass Media Networks

Nik Nick Carter 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles Off The RecordNew 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles afternoon host Nik Carter has already added another position as he becomes the new host of Compass Media Networks’ weekly syndicated “Off The Record“.

The weekly hour-long show features “exclusive, in-depth interviews with rock’s biggest stars”. The show debuted in 1981 and had most recently been hosted by ‘Uncle Joe’ Benson since 1998. With the addition of Carter, KLOS becomes the show’s new flagship station.

Carter most recently served as a host of “Feedback” at SiriusXM’s Music Talk “Volume” channel. He began his career at WFNX Boston followed by a brief run in mornings at WDGE Providence in 1995/96. He would then join WBCN Boston for a nine year run in afternoons through 2004 followed by four years in afternoons and middays at “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK New York until 2009. Carter also hosted afternoons on short-lived AAA 101.9 WRXP New York and has served as imaging voice for numerous stations including WNEW New York, WBOS Boston, WDRC Hartford, WXRT Chicago and many national brands. He also served as a host for VH1 Classic.

Carter will debut on Off The Record the week of February 8.
