FIRST ON RADIOINSIGHT: Nielsen Audio has released its biannual revision of the market rankings for the upcoming Fall ratings book.
No changes took place in the top twelve markets. After rising to #13 in the Spring update, Detroit moves back behind Phoenix (14 to 13). Tampa (18 to 17) and Denver (19 to 18) each rise one slot, while San Diego drops back two to #19. After falling from #21 to #23 in the Spring, Charlotte moves back up to #21, with Baltimore dropping two places to #23 with Portland remaining in between. Austin (31 to 29) and Orlando (32 to 30) move into the top 30 with Pittsburgh slipping 30 to 31 and Las Vegas down three spots 29 to 32.
Indianapolis (39 to 38) rises ahead of San Jose. Nashville (41 to 40) moves ahead of Hudson Valley. Greensboro (48 to 47) and Oklahoma City (49 to 48) rise one spot each with West Palm Beach dropping from 47 to 49.
Other markets making significant gains are Spokane (92 to 88), Reno (100 to 96), Fayetteville AR (118 to 113), Worcester MA (119 to 115), Killeen/Temple TX (134 to 131), Savannah GA (145 to 140), Sioux Falls SD (180 to 175), Cape Cod MA (194 to 182), and Panama City FL (227 to 220).
Chattanooga TN fell the most dropping from market #94 to #88. Seven markets each fell five spots: Lafayette LA (113 to 118), Burlington VT/Plattsburgh NY (142 to 147), Midland/Odessa TX (160 to 165), Utica/Rome NY (168 to 173), Kalamazoo MI (183 to 188), Laredo TX (189 to 194), and Elmira/Corning NY (220 to 225).
