Nick Gomez Joins Hot 99.5 Washington As Evening Host

iHeartMedia CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington DC has tabbed Nick Gomez as its new evening host starting August 22.

Gomez moves to Washington from “Z100” WHTZ New York where he has spent his entire career starting as an an intern in 2018. He began hosting weekends in late 2019 and moved to the live overnight shift in May 2021. He also tracks shifts on multiple iHeart CHRs and Pride Radio. Gomez also served as student Program Director at William Paterson University’s 88.7 WPSC-FM Wayne NJ.

He fills the evening slot held by Emily Sklar until this spring. Sklar stepped down from her full-time position with the station, but continues to voicetrack for the company.

Hot 99.5, DC’s #1 Hit Music Station, today welcomes Nick Gomez as the new evening on-air personality, effective August 22, 2022. Gomez will broadcast weeknights from 7 p.m. to Midnight.

Each weeknight, Gomez will broadcast the most popular hits from the biggest chart-topping pop artists and feature the latest entertainment news and lifestyle experiences that apply to Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia communities.

Gomez has hosted overnights on Z100 in New York City since 2021. His previous experience includes part time and swing work on Z100 from 2019 – 2021, weekends on 103.5 Kiss-FM in Chicago and weekends on PRIDE radio. Additionally, he serves as iHeartMedia Format Center CHR Weekend talent for Hits 95.7 in Denver, 96.5 KISS-FM in Cleveland, Ohio; HITS 100.3 in Greensboro, North Carolina; WNOK-FM in Columbia, South Carolina; Z107.7 in St. Louis, Missouri and Z104.3 in Baltimore, Maryland.
