Another former syndicated host is making the move to Amazon’s Amp app.
Nick Cannon, who most recently hosted “Nick Cannon Radio” for Skyview Networks, will join Amp starting Monday, April 24 to host “The Daily Cannon”. The new show will be co-hosted by former “Hot 93.3” KLIF-FM Dallas morning host Mason Moussette and former “Real 92.3” KRRL Los Angeles host DJ Abby De La Rosa, who is also mother to three of Cannon’s children. The new show will air live Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm eastern/6-9am pacific.
The new show is described as Cannon acting as “a cultural guide, as he headlines each raw and unfiltered show with personally curated new R&B, hip-hop, and pop tracks; the inside scoop on celebrity and culture news; and interviews with today’s hottest artists, newsmakers and Amp creators.” Cannon joins former Westwood One night host Zach Sang and a few other radio personalities on the Amp platform.
Cannon hosted “Nick Cannon Radio” for Skyview Networks from 2019 until the end of 2022, which was heard in mornings on “Power 106” KPWR Los Angeles for most of its run. Cannon previously hosted the weekly “Cannon’s Countdown” for CBS Radio and Citadel Media Networks in the early 2010s and hosted mornings at CHR “92.3 Now” WNOW-FM New York from January 2010 to February 2012.
