News Radio UK has refreshed its rolling news service with the introduction of presenters for the first time in its seven-year history.
Former BBC Radio 5 Live host Victoria Meakin, ex-BBC Radio London and LBC presenter Duncan Barkes, and current 5 Live freelancer Stuart Clarkson will make up the schedule each day.
The presenters will introduce all the information elements on the station, including news, weather, sport, business and showbiz updates.
And through the use of smart technology and Aiir playout software, News Radio UK will be ‘as live’ with accurate automated time checks and weather reports 24 hours a day.
Station Founder and CEO Roy Martin: “News Radio UK has grown from a beta product to a fully-fledged rolling news service and I felt now was the right time to take it a step further by introducing familiar voices to the output.
“Victoria, Duncan and Stuart sound great introducing the news elements provided by Radio News Hub, which continues to offer today’s headlines in 10 minutes, every 10 minutes in our exclusive agreement.”
News Radio UK has also introduced a new website, new station theme, and is now available on seven DAB multiplexes across the UK, plus Freeview, Alexa and Radioplayer.
