Gav Richards, co-founder of Aiir and former presenter at Bauer and Galaxy, has created a new syndicated radio show called 10 Most Wanted.
The programme is available to broadcast on weekday evenings and includes a top 10 countdown of the “most requested” current hits, entertainment news and listener requests.
It will be hosted by Gav and is fully customised for each station taking it.
Listeners will hear Gav name-checking the station in every link, station idents throughout, fully bespoke links, and a mention of the programme which follows.
This is possible due to a new app ‘SmartVT’ which Gav has developed. It automatically delivers the show to each station and plays it out at the required time.
SmartVT integrates with playout systems to trigger commercial breaks and can send ‘now playing’ information to websites and apps.
On the production side, SmartVT makes it easy to build a syndicated voicetracked show with a range of tools that keep admin to a minimum. This includes show templates, drag and drop blocks, audio recording and editing, split links, and rules-based asset selection. SmartVT also includes a show portal, where a producer and affiliate stations can easily exchange files and content.
The first stations to broadcast 10 Most Wanted will be the recently launched B Radio in Reading and Farnborough, starting next Monday August 2nd, with other stations expected to join in the coming weeks.
Gav said: “I hope the programme will provide stations with a professional sounding, easy to incorporate hour for their weekday evening or late night schedule. I’m excited to get started!”.
