A new podcast featuring interviews with radio producers has been created called Re: Producer.
It’s a series celebrating the art of making radio, putting some of the industry’s production talent under the spotlight.
Each episode is a relaxed conversation with a radio producer about their career and the industry as a whole, reflecting on how it has changed over the decades.
Guests are asked about the advice they’d give to aspiring producers, the key skills that are integral to the role, their biggest personal successes, the radio shows they love, and what they think radio will sound – and look – like in the future.
Guests so far:
- Karen Pearson – Founder of Folded Wing who was recently awarded a Radio Academy Fellowship
- Mark Lockett – Executive Producer of the Dave Berry Breakfast Show on the Absolute Radio Network
- Liz Barnes – Producer of Sounds of the 70s with Johnnie Walker on BBC Radio 2, previously Planet Rock, BBC 6Music, BBC Radio Cumbria and BBC Radio Lancashire
