Former Wireless and GMG’s Terry Underhill has been appointed into an Executive Editor role at the BBC.
Terry joined the BBC at the beginning of September as Executive Editor at BBC Radio Northampton and BBC Three Counties Radio. He’s now been appointed full-time as Executive Editor for BBC Radio Norfolk, BBC Radio Suffolk and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
Previously, Terry was Group Programme Director for Wireless and Group Head of Music and Programme Director for GMG Radio. He also has considerable experience as a presenter on stations including Smooth Radio, Real Radio, Greatest Hits Radio, Signal Radio and MFM.
Posting the news on social media, Terry said: “It’s an honour to be given the opportunity to lead these iconic BBC local radio stations, and I can’t wait to start working with my new colleagues.
“I’m very grateful for this opportunity, and to have been fortunate enough to work in this wonderful industry for so many years.”
Terry starts in his new role in the East of England on 30 October.
