Binnie Media has flipped its “Frank-FM” trimulcast in New Hampshire from Hot AC back to Classic Hits.
106.3 WFNQ Nashua/Manchester, 98.3 WLNH-FM Laconia/Concord, and 98.7 WBYY Somersworth/Portsmouth are now positioning as “The Soundtrack Of” with each market following. The stations are running the same music logs with local imaging inserts. The stations are now running jockless with most of the airstaff continuing with their other roles in the company.
One who has exited was morning host Mark ‘Nazzy’ Nazzaro, who was laid off from the company in mid-January. Binnie Media VP/Programming Heath Cole told the Concord Monitor at the time that further changes could be coming as the company expands its News/Talk programming, “It’s a reconstruction of the workforce here in Concord heading into the spring. He’s been like part of the family for years, but the music format that we do will change. He’s a music guy and would not blend in well with the news.”
The format shift reverses the move from Classic Hits to Hot AC that was completed in January 2022.
The 7am hour on Frank-FM consisted of:
- Huey Lewis & The News – Power of Love
- Rod Stewart – Tonight’s The Night
- U2 – I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For
- Rolling Stones – Jumpin’ Jack Flash
- Guns N’ Roses – Sweet Child O’ Mine
- Fleetwood Mac – You Make Loving Fun
- Mr. Mister – Kyrie
- Motels – Only The Lonely
- Dire Straits – Sultans of Swing
- Talking Heads – Burning Down The House
- Coldplay – Clocks
- Go-Go’s – We Got The Beat
