Nathan Reed Returns To Cox As WSB-FM/WSRV Director of Operations/Programming

Cox Media Group has announced the appointment of Nathan Reed as Director of Operations and Director of Branding and Programming for AC “B98.5” WSB-FM and Classic Rock “97.1 The River” WSRV Atlanta.

The move marks a return to Cox for Reed. He served as PD of Hot AC “Mix 96” KRAV Tulsa and later Director of Marketing & Radio Operations from 2016-19 before relocating to Tampa as Director of Programming for AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM and Soft AC 105.5 WDUV Tampa from 2019 to 2021. He previously spent eight years in multiple programming roles at iHeartMedia Toledo eventually rising to SVP/Programming and also programmed Rhythmic CHR “Club 93.7” WRCL Flint MI.

Reed takes the positions that had most recently held by Emily Boldon until her departure in December.

Cox Media Group (“CMG”) Atlanta today announced that Nathan Reed has been named Director of Operations/Director of Branding and Programming for B98.5 and 97.1 The River effective March 4. In his new role, Reed will manage the day-to-day operations of B98.5 and 97.1 The River, while leading music programming, promotions, and commercial production for CMG Atlanta.

Reed is a nearly 30-year media veteran. His experience is rooted in a variety of formats across multiple platforms specializing in research, brand strategies, talent development and marketing. Reed previously served as the Director of Operations at CMG Tulsa, where he oversaw integrated radio and TV brands, research, and marketing. He later joined CMG Tampa in 2019 as the Director of Operations for six radio brands. His career has also seen impactful roles in Toledo, OH, and Flint, MI.
