Dick Broadcasting has promoted Nathan James to Operations Manager of their Savannah/Hilton Head properties.
James, who currently serves as PD/afternoon host for Country “Bob 106.9” WUBB Bluffton SC also adds the Program Director duties for CHR “Hot 98.3” WGCO Midway GA. He joined the company in September 2022 as PD of WUBB and cluster Marketing Director and has been serving as interim PD of WGCO since the departure of former OM Matt Derrick in June 2023.
James previously served as Director of Marketing/Promotions/Events/Digital for SummitMedia, and programmed Adams Radio Group Country “US 98.5” WUSX Seaford DE. He also served as Digital Content Manager for SummitMedia Omaha, Director of Marketing for iHeartMedia Philadelphia and worked in promotions and marketing for iHeartMedia in Raleigh and Norfolk, Max Media Norfolk and Entercom Wilkes-Barre.
In addition to WGCO and WUBB, Dick Broadcasting also owns Rhythmic Hot AC “G100” WXYY Rincon GA, “Rock 106.1” WFXH-FM Hilton Head Island SC, Classic Hits “Rewind 107.9” WRWN Port Royal SC, and Regional Mexican “La Pantera 96.1” 1130 WHHW/W241CV Hilton Head Island.
DBC Radio announced today that Nathan James has been promoted to Operations Manager for its six-station cluster in the Savannah/Hilton Head market, effective immediately. James will oversee all programming strategy as well as retain his Program Director/Afternoon Drive on-air duties for Country WUBB-FM (Bob 106.9) and add Program Director duties for CHR/Mainstream WGCO-FM (Hot 98.3), which he has been handling on an interim basis since June 2023.
